After installing the game last night, the Launcher screen came up, had me agree to a License/User Agreement, ran some updates, and then presented me with a list of Worlds (servers?) that I can play in. All of the worlds had a green check mark. After trying all of them multiple times (unsuccessfully), I went to the Support Forum to see what the problem may be. I couldn't find any information on outtages, so I ruled that out. I followed suggestions for creating Firewall exceptions, but that didn't work. I even tried turning my firewall off & that didn't work either.
One suggestion that I read instructed me to open the Task Manager and hit the "End Process" button for the TurbineLauncher.exe. When I did this, the screen with the list of worlds disappeared (If that screen isn't the Turbine Launcher itself, it must somehow be tied to it). I launch the game by double-clicking on the DDO Unlimited icon/shortcut that's saved on my desktop, and the screen that runs the updates & allows me to choose from the worlds comes up after a screen w/ a Monk. Am I doing something wrong when launching the game? Is something not loading that should load?
Does anyone have other suggestions for me? I'm using a Linksys Wireless G wireless router & my computer specs meet all of the minimum requirements for playing the game.
