I've been playing on Khyber and have just joined the wonderful world of Thelanis. . . Currently a superbroke 2 rogue, 1 sorc named Grindo Favor.

Going the rest of my levels sorcerer, I currently have no armor, no power/wizardry/anything sorcerer related items.

So I was wonderin . . . anyone got some lowbie junk a bright-faced, cheery sorcerer could use. Anything really. Treat me as though I'm a vendor who won't pay you for your vendor trash, send me money, whatever. Broke and in dire need of aid.

Please let not this plea fall upon deaf ears.

Heh...is Khyber the only server with a designated character people send their donations for outfitting new players to?

It's very depressing, especially since on Khyber I was given 40k plat and several items by benevolent benefactors, and Sarlona has "giveaways" like every week now.

Just sayin, I wouldn't let those jokers show me up if I was Thelanis.

Nice try lol...and it kind of sucks for you if you really need help because I dont see many people offering up anything lol. I'm usually ready to pipe up and offer but for some reason..I get the feeling your post isnt genuine so...I'll keep my plat and junk lol. Good luck

Sounds kinda like the new administration. Lets not do for ourselves what other can do for us. Please go out and earn your keep and maybe if you are lucky, some nice soul in group or online in Thelanis, but dont go around begging for it, its just pathetic.

Remember we all started with nothing and grinded away to get something. I do from time to time give away stuff to random strangers just because I am able to.

I wouldn't say I REALLY need help, but I am level 3 in a class I've never played before running around in the underwear we start with because I can't find any armor and have like 100 plat. While I could easily make it to my desired level without help, I just figured there'd be someone out there with a robe or something to throw my way . . . I don't even really know what to ask for since it's my first sorcerer which is why the initial post was general.

I'm going to have to disagree with your post about me being lazy and expecting a handout though. This is more like you see a kid on the street doing something admirable (trying to establish a character on a new server to test out his compatibility to it), and you give him some spare change or pat him on the back because he's made you smile.

Basically, I'm a super-gimped, super-poor character on Thelanis. If no one wants to just give me something, if anyone's considering going to Khyber I have 100k plat there I could give you some on that server in return for some on this server. . .(I'm just not used to being so utterly poor, it makes gearing and questing difficult because people see my naked toon running around and dismiss me).

you are right when i rolled up on kyber i was given some platt to get started only difference i never asked for it. i have given lots away to newbs and new to server types as long as they are not really begging as such. You would have had a better response with a hey how you doin new to the server yada yada yada .there is a lot of generous peeps on thelanis too .

I just did it here because it's worked on Khyber and Sarlona. . . If I needed something (like a daxe of smiting), I would post my need and how much I was willing to spend and people would send them free (same with portable holes).

Here I don't have enough money to make such offers and not have people say "dude, that's like not even 1/100th of the item price come back when you're serious." Or some such, so I figured I'd be honest, state my situation, and hope for the best.

Where in my post do you see that I said that you're lazy or wanting handouts? You may be confusing me with someone else. I get what you're saying about how you "meant" to introduce yourself..I just think you went about it the wrong way. That is my opinion anyway..and that's why I replied as I did. I have some low lvls on Khyber and when I decided to lvl a toon over there I posted that I decided to visit Khyber and several people were nice enough to hook me up with gear and plat that made lvling easier. I got that without asking. I have helped out plenty of people and will continue to help people.

I didn't have to leave Khyber, I have to join Thelanis because of a project I and a few others are running here. . .No, I've had no complaints from anyone on Khyber so far and a semi-static questing group that I'd really hate to leave. However, Khyber is not where http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=212796 is occurring, hence here I am being poor and needing aid.

Very hostile server it seems so far, still waiting on this free love and butterflies I keep hearing about. . .
