That was nice of him . and I will agree that the thread may have been blown up a bit but he shouldnt have put himself out there the way he did. The post was oozing with "FLAME ME PLEASE". There are wayyy too many people on here with 52648354654 personalities and opinions. It's ashame but you have to be aware of how you post things..I know TRUST me . If you honestly are walking around at lv 3 with less than 1 gold to your name. That is a 'You' problem. Not a 'We' problem. You need to focus a little more on getting a supply, on your own. There are many quests that you can do, even solo. That will equip you with pots for future usage so you dont have to buy them, as well as lots of 'vendor trash' items that will sell for coin, to build your stash.

I dont care if you came over here to "start a project" with your friends. You are posting an all out 'cheesyazz post' on how your lv 3 toon has no money and needs to be equiped.

What the heck kind of items do you need @ lv 3, that the starter quest items are better for?

I have, and continue to use far too many emoticons to think that the internet effects my manhood. I do appreciate your concern though. My real hope for this thread was that Thelanis people who have alts on Khyber, or Thelanians who have read any of the other posts I've made in the general forums would donate to the Society for the Betterment of Grindo Favor, SBGF. Alas, it was not so. I shall go on in my abject destitution, with more resolve and grit because of the berating chastisement I have received at your hands today. My "beggardly" ways shall be amended, and I shall remove my listening ear and generous hand from any person asking for help in the future. They must, after all, learn to make it on their own, or they shall surely become a remora upon the whale of society eating its scraps and riding on it's draft.

If I didn't have more respect for myself I would be begging too.

I've played DDO on and off, and just recently started seriously playing. Got an arcane archer up to 12, decided that I wanted a less gimped character and rolled a barbarian. I've received some plat from generous people (helped transfer some gold for someone and he gave me 25k plat in return for helping [alot for me]).

Hawkbear, my barb, is now at 11 and almost 12. Decent gear around but that's because I pay alot of attention to the vendors (+5 str belt, woot) when I need to upgrade my gear. Soon I'll be going for my greensteel greatsword.

That being said, it doesn't take much to get plat and level. You don't need to be twinked to do the quests. Only do quests your level and you should be fine.

I seriously hope no one sends you any more items/plat...

I wouldn't say I REALLY need help, but I am level 3 in a class I've never played before running around in the underwear we start with because I can't find any armor and have like 100 plat. While I could easily make it to my desired level without help, I just figured there'd be someone out there with a robe or something to throw my way . . . I don't even really know what to ask for since it's my first sorcerer which is why the initial post was general.

I'm going to have to disagree with your post about me being lazy and expecting a handout though. This is more like you see a kid on the street doing something admirable (trying to establish a character on a new server to test out his compatibility to it), and you give him some spare change or pat him on the back because he's made you smile.

Basically, I'm a super-gimped, super-poor character on Thelanis. If no one wants to just give me something, if anyone's considering going to Khyber I have 100k plat there I could give you some on that server in return for some on this server. . .(I'm just not used to being so utterly poor, it makes gearing and questing difficult because people see my naked toon running around and dismiss me).

Then make a new toon on Khyber, send him some plat, then pay Turbine real coin to transfer the mule toon to Thelanis. Problem solved, dignity semi-restored.

while this is true, its still easier to get from 0 to 1500 than get from 2500 to 3000. the late favour is alway the favour of the stupid quests you normally would never do/skip/find a group for
