Default Suggestion for True Rez Grind

Can we have an option to choose what point buy we want to use when TR'ing our characters? The only condition being of course that you have to have done a 34 point on that character to choose 36, and have 32 unlocked to choose 34.

Now building up passive past life feats will still be a grind; but we could choose to level up our characters several times as simply a 32pt build at normal experience and collect past lives and work on completionist. Then when you start approaching the end of your multiple lives choose to do the 34 pt, then the 36pt.

Its still a massive grind regardless, but atleast this way the higher point builds retain their experience penalty, but allow people to work on multiple TR's at a reasonable pace if they choose not to take all the benefits available.

    So instead of:

    1x 32
    1x 34
    9x 36
for a total of near 22 cappings for completionist

    you'd have

    9x 32
    1x 34
    1x 36
for a total of 12.5 cappings for completionist (thats w/o stacking passives 3 x)

I know I'd be far more interested in starting a TR'ed character if the experience it currently requires is reduced.

I like the basic though behind this post.
But I would like to change it a bit.

    Sugestion:
you only get the experiance penalty when you are lvl:ing up with higher points the first time

I agree with you, then 3rd+ reincarnations will take A LOT of time each.

Other than the unfortunate fact that all the Path builds suck…

Has anyone tried TRing into a Path build to see if it allows you to bypass the 34/36 point XP charts?
Things worthy of Standing Stone going EXTREME PREJUDICE™ on.:
    • Epic and Legendary Mysterious ring upgrades, please.
    • Change the stack size of filigree in the shared bank to 50. The 5 stack makes the shared bank worthless for storing filigree in a human usable manner.
    • Fixing why I don't connect to the chat server for 5 minutes when I log into a game world.
    • Fixing the wonky Lightning Sphere and Tactical Det firing by converting them to use alchemist spell arcing.
    • Redoing the drop rates of tomes in generic and raid loot tables.

I do believe a dev has already shot something similar down. They seem pretty keen on keeping an experience penalty based on build points.

just be glad multiclassing or drow dont cost a similar penalty

TRing defaults Your name, your gender, and the customize build so that you can't change them.

    That would be greate!
Do you have any link about that?

My sugestion in more words would be:

you get two choice after you done a true incarnation:
    i) you get more build points + passive past life feat (and access to purchasable past lift feat) -> when lvl:ning that caracter you will get the exp penalty "It takes them more experience to gain levels than during their previous lives" this is only becource of the bonus ability points you have gained.
ii) you get + passive past life feat (and access to purchasable past lift feat) -> lvl cost as much as usually for your incarnated caracter.

    So if you do:

    The cost goes like this:
    1x 32->34 high exp cost
    1x 34->36 high exp cost
    9x 36 ordinarly exp cost

the current system is 3 times the exp for 32->34 and 4,5 times the exp for 34->36 as I understand it.
The main drawback with that is not that it would take 3 more times to lvl up a 32->34 BUT that you will be down on 0 exp on some quests if you are lvl with random groups.

Do you have any sugestion for a inbetween system?

I thought it was just more exp not that you got less for quests and if you stick to groups your lvl and quests for your lvl range that way you always get exp. as to cost maybe average the two systems and use that cost. Doubt I will ever use the current system I havent even hit 20 yet.

Well mabe I was a bit unclear.

Asuming that you in the ordinary case would do the quests a,b,c,d,e,f,g on normal, hard and elit and then lvl.

Asuming that you need 4,5 times more exp to go from lvl x->y
In the best case you could do the quests a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i,j,k,l,m,n,o,p,q,r,s,t,u,v,x,y,x on normal, hard and elit + some slayers, rare and explorers.

But in the "worst cast" (asuming you are not a solo player) you could only find people do to the quests a,b,c,d,e,f,g on normal, hard and elit. Then it would not be enough to do them 5 times on normal, 5 times on hard and 5 times on elit. As you would get the repeating the same quest penalty.´

EDIT The exp needed for 1st TR is much less then 200% (according to http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=93137 is about 65% ) more so as I did my example above asume that 4,5 times the exp is needed for 2nd TR was to high. How valid the point valide depend on how much more exp you need for 2nd TR then for the 1st.

It must not be that much of a grind.
I saw a lvl 20 TR character on the live server - WF barb.
6 days to level a TR character to lvl 20.
    That is insane.

    OH GOD NO.

You guys don't see it but i came from a free mmorpg called conquer online true rez is the equivalent to reborn, essentially DDO has a broader view but only time will tell how it works in CO there was 2rbs and you'd multiclass that way for beneficial effects

warrior-warrior-warrior would get something special but if you did something like
Water Caster-Warrior-Trojan you'd get a far better more spammable broken effect

now this may not have anything to do with thread but, this next point does, first reborn it was 2x harder to level 2nd rb was 3x harder and it was pretty difficult to level so those numbers were huge and i dont wanna see DDO turn into this game T_T
