    Default Frenzied Berserker flinching? Seriously?

So I see they put the flinch animation and associated "Ow!" sound for Frenzied Berserker back in.

Really? Was there a huge outcry and demand for this?

I is a sad panda. That is extremely annoying.

    Put it back in?

It was always here since beta. And in my bugs thread. No fix yet or any planned.

Annoying but you get used to it.

Then that is freaky odd. I haven't had flinching since release on FBIII... and I love me some FBIII action so it's not like I have been wearing beer goggles for 3 months. I never thought I'd want me character to be re-bugged

I have a video of it happening from beta..

Dunno.. Whenever you take damage, you flinch.. It's a new thing they added, and it applies to all forms of damage.

There are times when it seems to get bugged and you take no self damage at all, but I can scarcely believe thats been happening to you all the time. Seems to be quest specific.

Rather it seems to be Race specific. I notice this on my fleshies (humans, etc) whilst I do not notice this on my Warforged characters. Neither my barbs nor my other ones using vicious weapons.

I've seen it on my warforged barb. Tho less often then on my dwarf. Believe it was in a undead quest on him, fighting a wraiht.. Just swosh swosh sounds, no grunts, no self dmg.

Dunno it's really random. Certain areas tho it's 100% reproducable. Aussircaex valley for example - vicious dmg is capped at 1 point, always 1 pnt, never 2/3.

Let me clarify: I do take self-damage while frenzied (yay red floaty numbers!) and always have taken the damage. What I haven't seen on Speckles until this Monday patch was the flinching & sound while taking the self-inflicted damage. Regular mob-dealt damage flinching is as it should be. It sounds as if Speckles may have been bugged in some manner because since EU went live I have never seen the FB flinching and honestly thought it was because they had removed it after the complaints from beta about it.

It *might* be quest-specific bug but highly doubtful.. I primarily raid run Speckles (VoD, ToD, Hound etc) and has not been happening in there pre-patch. I ran Shroud multiple times today and immediately noticed it on the portals. I have yet to run anything else to see if the flinching is happening elsewhere. I also doubt it's a graphical/vid quality artifact. I run with graphics maxxed on a very beefy gaming machine with dual SLI cards so the only lag I ever get is network-related. No vid slowdowns ever.

AO: As for race-specific, Speckles is a dwarf twf so I have no additional input for you there.

    I wish I had that bug. I'm always 1-3.

What I haven't tested is if vicious is applying on the bursts as well as the base hit. I seem to recall you having a bug listed for that.

It's not always a good bug.

Sometimes I take beyond normal vicious damage. Up to 4 in certain cases.

It only applies 1 per hit, not 1 per special effects like burst. But it also applies on glancing blows. So double viciouds dmg on 3/4 swings with GTHF.

I think it happens to everyone and your just not noticingi it. I didn't at first either.. Then I changed my damage colors to make it clearer: Change player damage - reduced to grey, and player damage amplified to purple.. Makes it pretty noticable, as it should always be red.
