Last I heard Druids (and half elves, Half Orcs) are coming late 2007, is this still valid???

link to announcement removing polymorph from official campaign.
That is from one specific campaign, not the game as a whole. This page states that they banned the spells from an RPGA Campaign, which has nothing to do with the numerous other campaigns played around the world. The RPGA rules are very focused around competitive gaming where gamers are judged and a "winner" is announced.

I guess i was mistaken. I am sorry to have cause any trouble if i did with my error. Thank you for helping me to see the difference. I assumed that if the "official" campaign ban it, then it was right out. But i do see what you are saying about it being competitive RPGA only, now.
Again thank you for helping to correct this error in my thinking, as it will help me to play my wizard in the PnP game i have going with much more intrest.
kinda a given at some point they will add druids to the game however id like to make a wager that when they do that thay add a new race as well the dryad. which most lickly will be the first race with racial wisdom enhancemnts and prolly + malee enhancemnts for club and q staff, and natural armor bonus enhancemnts(im dreaming this one up but still it be cool).

Been waiting for druids for years. Favored soul is interesting but doesn't sate my need for the long neglected divine caster, the druid.
The problem I see (and I often step into the shoes of other people to more understand a situation) is the scale a druid would be at. You could create a high AC build druid, with the Heal spell... and Firewall. Wiz/Rogues are bad ass, but a druid would be devastating.
If Oddlived could solo parts 1-4 of the Shroud with a Wiz/Rog, what could a druid do?
Isn´t there an official announcement about Druids? Like "we´re never going to do druids, DDO engine is not capable of handling morphs" or something like "We´re working on a workaround to introduce druids"?
GIVE ME MY DRUIDS!!!! Id kill to see a druid class in DDO! And this is supost to be Eberron right? WHERES THE CHANGELING RACE?
I've said it in many other threads and I'll say it again here.
The problem with druid isn't with shapechange. Pale Master has shown us that. Although it could be argued that balancing said shapechange would be a bit of work.
Personally, I don;'t care about shapechange. Leave it out for all I care.
The problem with druid is in fact the very spell list that we all want so badly.
Sure, there are a lot of great spells on their list, but actually take a look at their spell list and count how many spells they have that are in the game. A very large portion of their spell list doesn't exist.
Level 6 is an important one. Look at it. Can you even pick four spells off that list that are in the game right now that you'd want to prepare? I can't.
Look at level 9. Mass Cure Crit. That's it, just a single spell.
The problem with druid (other than a possible balancing act from shapeshift) is the sheer number of spells that would have to be coded in order to introduce the class to begin with.
That kind of thing doesn't happen overnight.
/signing the druid petition.
but i thought, with the implementation of the SP system, that, essentially, arcane casters were psions =P while it would be nifty to have, i think it's more important to get druids into the game.
still /signing the psion petition, too, though. ;-D
Based on the Core Druid spell list, cross referenced to DDO spells available to players, we get the following. Former Xoriat-er. Embrace the Madness.
I would appreciate it, though, that if they are indeed in the process of working on Druid spells, that as they became available, they released them to us in their updates to the other classes that can access them.
Even if Druids themselves never show up, at the least it gives more versatility to the existing game.

I would give my left "orb" (if I had one) and all of my monies to Turbine for a Druid. It was exactly what I wanted when I started my account.

Eh why bother it would be gimped before it ever got here and worthless end game. We can't use 1/2 of the options we already have in a worthwhile manner why would druids be any different. Besides wall of fire you would be better off playing a FvS.
