I see quite a few people talk about Wiz/fighter.
I started thinking about Melee capable casters, and I wondered if a Drow Sorcerer/TWF Paladin may have strong synergy.
This is what I would get with mixing in 3 levels of Paladin.
Paladin 1:
~Proficiency with simple and martial weapons, shields, and all armor
~Aura of Good (persistent AoE +1 AC, +1 saves buff)
Paladin 2:
~Add your Charisma modifier to all saving throws [This would rock on a Charisma primary caster!]
~Access to Paladin Charisma I enhancement [Would this stack with +1 from the Sorcerer side?]
Paladin 3:
~Fear Immunity
~Disease Immunity
~Access to Paladin Bulwark of Good I enhancement (+1 additional AC for Aura of Good)
~Access to Paladin Resistance of Good I enhancement (Aura of Good gives +1 to saving throws)
Would my aura stack with buffs such as Mage Armor?
What starting stats and/or feats do you think would help this become a viable build? (Note I do have 32 points unlocked)
Does it matter if I start life as a Sorcerer or Paladin?
Do you think I should do more levels of Paladin? If so how many levels?
Would it be worth while to triple class with Rogue or Monk for evasion and special abilities?
The goal is to have a Sorcerer with auras, strong survivability, and the ability to add light melee in if the need pops up.
