Don't you think that it would get a bit diluted and confusing seeing that many numbers (especially in the raids when your running 12 people) floating across your screen. Seems as though it wouldn't help in the least.

And to my knowledge there is not a way.

if it were possible to export the combat log to a text file then it would be possible to share combat logs e.g. on a website, so you could do statistics on people's damage taken damage dealt, healing incoming etc etc

But there isn't a way of exporting combat log so it's moot

They probably noticed a mob walk into the wall of fire and die instantly, or take a huge amount of damage, that would be considered a critical in my eyes.
