Can free players participate in any of the raids that vip and premium accounts can?
I'm assuming you can join some, but not all?

Just find a friendly guild that will keep you supplied with guest passes and you will be fine.

Tempest's Spine is the only free raid. Buying the packs Vale of Twilight and Ruins of Gianthold will give you access to 4 raids, two ofthem the most run in the game.
As for the Guild buying passes. I do, but they are expensive at high levels.
