So I just pulled this armor.

I've wanted to play a caster alt, made a level 4 WF wiz but never went anywhere with it yet. The armor looks pretty slick but you can't be WF. Is this armor good enough to build a char for or should I just sell it?

I would say it is best for a Sorc. And yes, it is one of very few ways to increase meteor swarm damage and incendiary cloud damage.

Is it uber though? Not really. Only +20% at the moment.

Who knows how good it will be once its powers are unlocked however.

Well, it also has the clicky which is +50% for a short time as well.

Armor is very very nice, but does it out-weigh the self-healing of a WF, I'm not sure.

My DT armor is better. I just use it for the clicky for meteor swarm then switch back to the DT robe. Meteor swarm kicks butt with the clicky!

Oh and I wear it around town cause it looks cool especially with Fire Shield spell.

It's a nice robe that my wizard also has but i don't find many opportunities to use it. Not withstanding immunities by some monsters to lvl4 spells and lower, I get more bang for the buck using Firewall.

If compelled to admit, my castor hasn't used METEOR SWARM in production, for the above reason... WAIL OF THE BANSHEE however rocks! Of course both spells are situational.

I suppose that for the virtually infinte "mana pool" a sorc enjoys , METEOR SWARM makes more sense.

Regards building a toon around the robe? I'd be hard pressed to take that route... The decision to build a fleshie Sorc over a wooden one for example is something I'd have to seriously consider.

As well as this, the two spells mentioned are the best damage spells on Raiyum on Epic difficulty; particularly Incendiary Cloud (which will hit the wraiths too)
