Default Need feedback on two builds!

Me and my boyfriend have been playing for about a month and a half. We have been learning this game and think it is time to make "mains" with the goal of eventually being 20 with a few more packs. We have been making many toons on multiple servers experiencing different types of game play but have yet to experience a raid or any mid level content. These two builds are a mix of what we enjoyed the most while grinding TP.

Same thing here, viable dual-wield DPS that can self buff but with the added versatility of healing and various dispels.

Novice builder with no mid-end game experience and no PnP background.
Are these builds viable? If not can I improve anywhere or should I just scrap them?

Also what alignment is most beneficial? Picked Chaotic because I think True Chaos weapons are pretty. >.>

Your first build is not worth it.

You should never multiclass as caster, unless you're a WF. If you want to do the first build, go WF sorc 12/fighter 6/paladin 2.

If you want the second, just go elf FvS 12/6 rgr/2 monk, or just 14 FvS/6 rgr.

If you don't want to get WF, scrap the first build, and make a bard (either pure or 2 fighter lvls, warchanter... search for axesinger build) instead.

If you don't to buy FvS, just go cleric with 2 fighter lvls. Clr 12/6 rgr/2 monk works really well also.

Thank you for the input Hydra.

Only have access to the classes/races of a F2P and will be that way for a while.

Back to the planner it seems, I'll check out that Axesinger build as well, thanks again!

    Default Builds

As a new player multiclassing is not a good option. Most of the crazy builds with multiclass you see are made by players who have multiple capped toons and have been around DDO for awhile. It takes time to learn what you as a player like and also what stacks and what doesnt stack, what will work well together and what wont. If you are looking for 2 builds that compliment each other then a WF 18/2 wizzie/rogue and a 18/2 melee/rogue is a good combo for playng together and also play well in grps. I've never done f2p so i dunno if WF are F2P. If you cant get WF then a pally build with a ranger type build go well together. There is a build out there somewhere called The Exploiter that is a good all around too i think its 18/1/1 ranger/rogue/monk kinda does everything is self sufficient does traps fair DPS good ac and so on.

    Thanks Kafanar

Thought I had a good grasp on this game but apparently there is much more to learn.

Will look into that build you mentioned, maybe there is a version that doesn't include that monk level. Also WF are not available to F2P'ers as well as monks.

I've tried to educate myself through the ddowiki, various posts like Aranticus's templates post and the many "Definative" posts. I have yet to come across a "How To Build" or a "Planning for end-game" post/guide.

Can you point me in a direction?

    Thanks again!
