I REALLY need to learn how this all works rofl. I've tried reading the guides and looked at the things, but I have a feeling until i actually start DOING it, I'm going to not QUITE get it.

I use a +4 Crippling Greatsord of Gr. Construct Bane and do enourmous damage. I would think holy, silver, byshek, mettaline etc. of Greater Construct Bane would have similar effects.

Is shocking burst bad for a gcb?

I passed up a +1 shocking burst DA of gcb (ml 10) for a +2 dex tome. My twf barb needed the tome, but the gcb just looked so tempting!

Shocking burst doesnt work on the portals.

Well, actually when I tried to trade off some Anarchic Burst PG weapons (khopeshes and light picks) as portal beaters, I was told they work less than a straight GCB weapon. Need less to say, I sold a couple of them on the AH cheap, the others to House D vendor. But even till now, the price of Holy/Anarchich Burst PG weapons with a good crit range, or high crit multiplier on AH is astronomical. And I have enough trouble looting ingredients in the Shroud, to not have the spare (even on 8 Shroud ready toons) to manufacture Triple Pos weapons enough for all my duel wielders.

I am not complaining that I didnt get a lot of cash for the weapons I sold, I always undersell stuff anyway. Its that despite the numbers being put in White and Black for all to see (and my use of said lower quality Portal Beaters), the lower quality Portal Beaters cost all most as much (more in some cases) as a GCB weapon.

If your low on ingredients and greensteel weapons, the Burst/PG weapons do quite well. If you have rich frends and a lot to spare, then the Posx3 wepaons with good crit ranges are the way to go. I like the idea of the Posx3 Warhammers too, altho with my Kensai Tempest, if I could spare the ingredients, Id make his Khopeshes.

Hope you find some quality weapons until you can craft what you want to (when the Shroud reopens anyway :P)

Yeah in an ideal world id prolly do khops and warhammers. But havent got one alt ive been able to do that on yet TYVM altitis

anarchic/holy burst of pg are nice. x2 pos arent bad either, so its not like you have to get em to x3 b4 you can use em. Craft up a coupdl x2 pos and use those till you get the larges to add the third tier, even then you can do one at a time, and you are still getting the RD clickies from the deal...
