New Player Looking for guild

I am new to DDO and have been exploring it only to fall in love with it. I have a lot of MMO background (Never played and never wanted to play WoW) even playing some closed betas. I have experience in playing D&D (although admit to being an etools addict so i could concentrate on rp and not the numbers) Oh yes I am in EST if that makes a difference as well.

I'm looking specifically for a guild that is friendly to new players (the term "zerg" is very unfamiliar to me) would prefer a guild that is made up of other adults that understands that there is (egads) life outside gaming. I also would love a Role Playing one if there is one out there. At the moment I am a F2P player but may change that status in the future. Also atm I have Characters on two different servers, but am more then willing to reroll on a new server since neither character on the servers I am on are very far along.

Hi there - glad you're enjoying DDO.

Rest in Pieces is a Role Playing guild on the Sarlona server and from the sounds of it we're a great match. Check us out at www.ripddo.com - we are a fairly small (but growing), very friendly, tolerant group of players who like having fun and believe that DDO is even more fun when you are RPing your character with friends.

We're casual and mature enough to know that RL stuff has to come first - usually when you least want it to. Any guild that can put up with me repeatedly killing of parties and laughing about it and waiting for me to try to climb that ladder ONE more time, even after getting my toon up to Level 7, has to be tolerant of new players (and old players, like me who are better at RPing than actually playing).

We are anti-zerg - zerg basically means rushing through quests etc., there is a great glossary of terms somewhere on the ddo forums - and most of our players prefer to involve themselves in the story-line rather than just blindly killing things (although that's fun too!).

Sounds like you'd be a good fit for the Gutbuster Brigade. We're a group of both newbie and senior players who just play the game to have a good time, and our age group for guildies is between senior high school year right up to married with kids. Everyone's got other priorities but we still group almost every night for quests and good times, so there's somebody around whenever you want to play. Right now we're situated on the Orien server, so if you want to play a few quests with us and get a feel for the guild, shoot me a PM or reply here and we'll arrange a time where you can meet with some of us and get a sense of where you stand.

We are a mature guild with members that love to Role Play or just play and of course know there is a life outside of the game. So no major online time requirements, etc.
