Default Drow TWF Paladin - Enhancement Input

I'm 6th level now and plan on going pure Paladin. Some of this I have, some I'm THINK I'm planning on taking.

Divine Might I-III (+6 sacred dmg for 1 min)
Drow Improved Spell Resistance I-II (+4 SR)
Drow Melee Attack I-II (+2 to hit)
Drow Melee Damage I-II (+2 dmg)
Drow Racial Toughness I-II (+20 HP)
Follower of the Sovereign Host (prereq for Unyielding Sovereignty)
    Unyielding Sovereignty (full heal)
Paladin Bulwark of Good I-II (+2 AC)
    Paladin Charisma I-II (+2 CHR)
Paladin Energy of the Templar I-II (+40 SP)
Paladin Extra Lay on Hands I-III (+3 uses)
Paladin Extra Smite I-II (+2 uses)
Paladin Extra Turning I-II (+2 uses)
Paladin Knight of the Chalice I-III (prestige)
Paladin Devotion I-II (+20% healing, prereq for Redemption)
    Paladin Redemption I (raise dead)
Paladin Resistance of Good I-II (+2 saves)
    Paladin Toughness I-II (+20 HP)
    Paladin Weapons of Good (capstone)

    77 AP used

I have 3 AP to spare. I'm not sure what I'd use it on. I'm also not ready to lock in what I listed above. Any advice?

Dump devotion, redemption and drow spell resist, and max out your exalted smite

You also lack divine sacrifice, which is extremely important.

I would can bulwark/resistance 1-2 and extra turning 1-2 in order to afford them all.

You might also have to drop drow melee attack 2, but its probably worth it.

    Just a few suggestions:

Drop the Improved Spell Resistance, this won't really help you much later in the game.

I would also drop the SP enhancement and extra turning enhancements. Your cha should be high enough to get you through to the next shrine with your Divine Mights and you should not have to worry about SPs.

I would pick up exalted smite and as many extra smites as possible. These two things can really beef up your damage output.

the 2 sp enhancements are requirements for knight of the chalice; he cannot drop them

My understanding is that Exalted Smite and Divine Sacrifice only apply to a single attack. Is that correct?

You can re-use divine sacrifice every 3 seconds, it has no limit on use

Each actually fire twice when you use them, once main and once offhand.

Both are extremely importnat parts of paladin dps, though it involves a lot of clicking. If you don't want to click a lot for your dps, you better play another class.

Good point... between Divine Might being every 1 minute, Divine Favor being a couple minutes at best, then Divine Sacrifice and Exalted Smite per strike... it does seem like a lot of clicking. Do you find it to be a pain in the... to constantly be clicking?

No, I think I'd be insanely bored if all i did was target the mob and stand still.

Riiight, just like all the all the other classes that kill mobs by standing still. I get it.

Someone should show you a movie of dpsing a raid boss sometime; it does indeed involve standing dead still for 60-180 seconds in many situations. A few are moreactive, and involve moving occaisonally .. but quite a few are straight, stnad still, surround the boss /hit the boss in the back opposite the tank beatdowns where people can, and do, go afk and troll the forums ocne they are buffed and in place.

Last night, with the few extra AP I had, I took Divine Sacrifice I and Exalted Smite I. The clickage didn't seem that bad at all and I definitely noticed the dps go up. I did, however, find myself forgetting to buff myself with Divine Might a couple times though.

Side question... I think I read somewhere that with TWF you only get the off-hand swings if you are not moving. Is there any truth to this?

My Pally keeps Zeal, Divine Might, Exhalted Smite and Divine Favor on buttons like 1-4 so I just do the "finger roll" or "drum my finger" across 1-4 before good sized mob fights. I put Divine Sacrifice on 5 key.. so I drum 1-4 then tap 5, 5, 5, 5, 5.. every swing.

Cool! This is very helpful. Question though, wouldn't you want to spam Exalted Smite in addition to Divine Sacrifice?
