Default Thanks for serving, Vets of Argo

I didn't see a Veteran's Day post so I'd just like to say thanks to a couple of vets and active duty in no particular order:

Ishy, Kistilian, Mamba, Bill, Jenisis and Tattoo

    Thanks for serving,

    -Tot

Good news--my nephew, a USMC SSgt is just home from the 'Stans. His uncle is still at sea, however.

No probs, brother. Thanks for the appreciation.

Goodluck to all the troops over there this Winter. I'll be there next December so some of those dudes can be home for the holidays instead of overseas.

/salute for sure. There are many of us non-military people who truly appreciate what you all do and sacrifice and put on the line in the name of your country.

    Godspeed.

A little late this year 'round. And while I may not be American (and no I don't have my chineese made American flag today, sorry) I also appreciate the risks that you are all going through. Thank you for doing your duty.

As nice as the once a year thank you thread is I'm sure my friends stationed overseas and at home would really appreciate year round support.

Here is a great starting point for those who wish to ACTUALLY support our troops.

You can check to make sure your donations are reaching our troops and how much through further resources:

BTW kaelis: Every dollar we spend on Chinese imports like cheap plastic flags is another dollar going to support their military. I never shop at Walmart.

    Peace.

I may not be american, but those you mentionned are my friends, and what they did for their country is really respectable, i will observe a moment of silence for them, and all of those who gave their life for their country.

It doesn't take much for each of us to take a minute in silence
to give thanks to those that gave their lives in wars come and gone,
and to those still fighting for freedom and peace.
May God ( or whichever divine powers you may believe in) watch over our friends and family
facing the ever present danger trying to bring a better life to those in need.

Sounds almost like McCarthyism Communist paranoi has persisted. But enough of this pushing this agenda Aten. This thread was meant to Honour the War Veterans. Not bash shopping styles, etc, you made your own thread so I won't tell you to do that, but I would ask for the Vets who play this game and those who wish to pay their respects to them, that you keep it out of this one.

    Thanks.

    P.S. I don't shop Walmart either.

Can't wait to see my little brother who comes home from Afganistan for a two week R&R over the Thanksgiving holiday (alright he's a man and bigger and stronger than I, but he'll always be my little brother).

God bless all of you vets, former and active, who support all of us Americans (liberal and conservative alike).
