Fighter4 wants to multiclass rogue?

Been playing about 3 weeks now and loving it. Leveled to 4 as a fighter, but I can see advantages as multiclassing as a rogue. Finding traps and secret passages that I cannot find as a fighter. Do these 2 classes match up well together? I see alot of multiclasses and some are fighter/rogue.

The general rule of thumb is if you are going to MC rogue for rogue skills, you want to take the rogue at L1, otherwise its hard to keep up with the rogue skill points needed. You also need to have a decent int & dex score, and not all fighters do.

Finding secret passages is actually pretty easy, look for a "detect secret doors" clickie, they are pretty common. As for traps, most can be bypassed if you are solo and are careful with your timing.

Yeah you want to start with rogue ideally. I'm currently building an 11 Ftr/7 Rogue/2 Barb which is based on a spec. that was recommended by a player who has solo'd all the way through to 20 before. The rogue class allows you to see more content. The Barb gives you speed increase to get to the casters and offer some damage reduction. The fighter more feats etc. It focuses on 2 Handed weapons to handle the multiple mobs.

Start with Rogue and get your skills up.
I'm having fun with him and have seen most of the content going solo. Just a challenge for me I guess.
The only wall I've hit is the last quest in Catacombs--just too many mobs...
