I found this on the AH recently:
Thought 39 base hardness was quite high so I put adamantine ritual on it to take it up to 44. Quite nice for doing long duration shield blocking vs high CR mobs e.g. queen archers on epic.
Anyone seen a shield with a higher hardness? I think the RR is giving it a higher hardness perhaps?

Never really paid attention to the hardness before Garth, checking into it now I see that all of my adamant shields are 25.....
I do know a long while ago some RR gear was coming out with very high hardess. I have a human only rapier of disruption that has 23hardness and 175 durability. You may be onto something.
PS wicked shield for a WF too
