I'm making an all defensive Stalwart defender with 10 str no dps at all. I building him to Tank anything that can be intimidated with perfect proficiency. My question is, if i can't intim something does the additional hate from leviks and Defensive stance effect umd'ed spells like solid fog?

Undead are no issue... halt undead scrolls ftw

Not sure why y ou would need to do this. It is possible to have DPS and Still be able to intim everything int he game that can be intimed.

AS a matter of fact, having some DPS is more important than ever with many end game boss's having the goofy aggro reset mechanic.

I doubt it would effect Scrolls/Clickys But it would be nearly Impossible to tell. Aggro Generated by Solid Fog is pretty minimal. It generally only works because no one else hits the mob. as soon as they are engaged by someone else, the aggro shifts...

Hmmmm well... if it hasn't been tested im gona have to test it out :/. If the hate from 1 SF isn't enough may have to make a cocktail.

I don't believe the hate from your solid fog or any other spells/items is affected by the Levik's set nor the Defensive stance. IIRC the description text for Levik's explicitly states something like, "when both pieces are equipped your attacks will generate 30% hate."

This would also apply to a Paladin's Divine Righteousness enhancement or any other hate multipliers/negators which also has the same descriptive text.

I've never seen a mob aggro based on web/solid fog/etc that couldn't be pulled off with a single attack.

That is a pretty good description Jaer. As usual, in the absence of a strict definition the players tend to come up with terminology of their own.

I don't like to derail threads but your response spawned two questions of my own. First, where would you fit Intimidate aggro onto your scale? Second, if Intimidate is actually generating hate closer to the "damage" end of your scale as opposed to the "aware of you aggro" then would the Levik's set and things like the Divine Righteousness enhancement then work to generate even more aggro with Intimidate?
