    Default Reincarnating an oretired toon

So I put my first character (lvl 10 human s&B pally) away a few months ago after totally gimping him trying to make a pnp style character. Having learned alot about the game since then and how to make a fun and effective character (i'm not a min max player, but I want my toons to be as effective as possible). With greater reincarnates coming around I figure this will be a great chance to dust off that character slot.

I would like some help/pointers/builds/links to building a new character. I figure now is the time to start collecting gear, and i'd like to know what to start grabbing.

I'm looking for a melee DPS character, with good to high survivability and some utility (be it in tactic, buffs, what have you)
    32 point.
Any race (WF would be cool since i've yet to play one past lvl 2.)
I have access to +2 tomes,
    Built for end-game.
At least able to solo easy quests with ease for down time grinding.

Is this a pure build? Because Lesser and Greater Reincarnation can't change your leveling history and True requires a level 20 character.

thanks for the clarification, i was under the impression that Greater let you change all class levels. This is what i found on DDOwiki.com, correct me if this info is out of date

    Lesser Reincarnation

A character that undergoes Lesser Reincarnation retains their race, gender, alignment, and the class they selected at level one. They are permitted to re-spend their ability points, change their feat selection, re-allocate skill points, spells, etc., or are free to select a path. Unlike True Reincarnation, characters will retain all favor and experience, but reincarnate with the same number of build points of the current incarnation and must train the exact level progression of the old character.

    Greater Reincarnation

Greater Reincarnation has the same benefits as Lesser Reincarnation, and additionally will upgrade a 28 point (non-drow) character into a 32 point build character.

    To Updade.
    lvl 10 Paladin.
I'm ok with changing the first level to something.

You missed something very important there.
You can not Change your class or race in either case.
    That takes a True.
    Therefore you have 2 options.
Level up the same fighter using the GTR to make it a 32 pt build, but you can only change the ability scores around/Feats/skills.
    OR
Level that lv 12 Fighter to lv 20 THEN use the True Reincarnation that you are looking for in the Gtr Reincarnation.
Its not possible to change your race/Class with ANY form of Reincarnation except the True one, which requires a lv 20 character.
BTW I feel your pain on that, i'd like to change a few characters of mine around.
I'd like to negate an entire class that I had Multi into before kensii came out, AND change the race of a different one.
No such luck, cause I'm not even going to take the time to lv them (Both are lv 17 too)

Just the first lvl class selection the way I read it so you could still make a kick ass pally lord of blades defender, 32 point build or some other variation. Pally's rock now!

I guess i need to think of a Human pally 32 pt, maybe 1st level splash. Opinions on 2 monk splash of ac bonus' and evasion, or rogue for skills (UMD is nice).
