    Question Wiz/Barb multiclass

What are you thinking about this build? Im actually warforge 10wiz/1barb and it going very well.
I decided to try this because 1. Barb can't wear armor, so wizard too, and WF too, nice!
    2. Autonomy: I'm my self-healer, using wands and repairing spells at worst(no sp waste for healing)
    3. Wizard has a lot of spell and can swap each shrine: swap buffing according to the situation
    4. The barbarian level allows to use all martial weapons + fast movement
    5. I use all buff i can with extend spell and maximize for offensive
I'll set my stats if someone ask :P Im actually playing on cannith server . at all fast and furious build effective all group =D

a fighter level instead of barb would have been better
you might loose the running speed boost, but get another feat and fighter hasteboost

cause if you rage, you cant cast, thus nullifying your wizard levels

I have a barb/wiz over on both Cannith and Orien (Sparkle), they're fun!

cause if you rage, you cant cast, thus nullifying your wizard levels
You can dismiss the barbarian rage at any time when things get rough. Mine use it a lot

Personally, I'd throw a feat slot at Fast Movement, so it works for me. Can't say I'd recommend it to other people unless they know what they're doing. I also have haste boost through rogue.

Are you doing the power attack & THF thing RicosQc? As a WF there's bonus enhancements to both

You can dismiss and at worst last for only 1 minut and it even not count all buffs I can cast to boost. then barb lvl gives you 1. More hp at lvl 1 2. The fast runs 3.natural armor at beginning and 2H weapons focus and enhancement

Not yet, ive to swap 1 or 2 feat that I dont like or pretty useless (The feat to reduce casting failure) I will prolly take Power attack. And yes, the coolest build to play with, melee wiz FTW!

Just curious because I am fairly new, but doesn't touch of the master work for the martial weapons? I guess what I am saying is, that as I look at various multi-class wizard builds, martial weapon proficiency would be lower on my list of things I hope to gain. I am new to the game though, so perhaps there are downsides I am not aware of. So far my low lvl wiz/rog seems to get mileage out of a great axe with masters touch until my spells get better.

Speed boost is always nice, so I can understand the attraction there. Have you thought about 2 levels of monk?

Yes, Touch of the Master grants martial proficiencies for 1 minute/level (2 min/lvl extended).

However, it also screws up the timer on other buffs, to the point where you'll frequently have a bunch of buffs with 0:00 left on the timer at the top of your screen.

It can also cause lag when you cast it and when the spell wears off, as the game adds/removes the proficiency one weapon at a time.

Lastly, there are far too many quests where the mobs spam Dispel Magic. If you are relying on buffs to be able to hit mobs, you will be in a world of hurt.
