When to splash

Does it matter what level your toon is to splash.
For instance my drow pally is level 11 and was wondering if i should splash a class for a little better ac

Ac is at 28 with twf/kotc

Originally was planning on going full pally but would like to increase my ac a bit

Any ideas would be helpfull

IMO splash at the early lvls at least with the two most splashed classes (rogue and monk). Im not so sure splashing a pally is gonna do anything for your AC, i mean "maybe" with monk and if you wear robes, and have a good wisdom and a good wisdom item.

Also as a TWF fighter you pretty much are never going to have a uber AC anyway, you best defence is smite and a holyburst weapon . Im sure that doesnt help you at all, but thats about the best i got for you.

Need a bit more info on your build (stats, equip) but in general, no, not unless you planned for the splash when you created the character.

As far as I can tell you will not get a meaningful AC, a splash will not help a KotC paladin too much (and cost the capstone).

Fighter 2 will get you +1 AC from Armor Mastery.
Monk 2 will get you +1 AC and your Wis bonus if you wear robes. You need to have started with ~16 Dex to make this work, have raid loot and top end gear.

As far as my gear. Nothing worth talking about yet,this is my first toon past level 7 so its pretty much just what i could scrape together by 11.

My Pally just reached 14 this weeknd and sits around 40 AC unbufffed.. but that includes 9 AC from my tower shield, but 0 raid gear. Self buffed I get to about 47 AC which is pretty much the same as it was at lvl 11. At lvl 11 most of the stuff had "trouble" hitting me, but now... doing lvl 14 (ish) mobs.. I get hit more often then I'd like to.
