Default How do I cancel my subscription? (Solved)

I'm at a loss here, I've been on my turbine account page for a while looking for a way to cancel my ddo subscription. All I can seem to find is a payment method page that just asks for my credit card info, it even says on the right side that I can modify my plan at any time on the site but I can find no such option. I don't know if I'm being completely dense or what, but hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

    Thanks.

are you a vip? or f2p? if your not a vip then nothing to cancel. if you are a vip then go to the my account page, you can launch it just before you enter the game or you can launch it on off the forums.

I am a VIP. I have done what you said but there is no information about canceling my subscription anywhere. I have even consulted the knowledge base and it said to go to myaccount then scroll down to see a list of subscriptions then click on a cancel button. Alas, all I have is a screen asking for a product key and some information about a Lord of the Rings trial subscription. I can provide a screenshot if needed, I would like to cancel before it bills me for another month.

    Thanks.

I just wanted to update this. I have 2 account names i regularly use, come to find out I did a trial run of LotR on one of them a year back and forgot about it. The problem was my ddo account and turbine account had different account names. So when I was logging into turbine i was logging into that old account with just LotR on it, hence why there was no ddo sub and a lotr sub in its place. Leaving this solution here in case the planets align and someone else has the same problem.

    Angry Breach of Legislation

I am having the same problem, but I dont have any other accounts with turbine at all?

All I want to do is cancel my subscription as the group I regularly play with has disbanded. There is nowhere on the accounts page were you can easily cancel your subsription, no button to press or link to click on.

I am positive this is a legislative breach, if not in the USA, then here in Australia. It is a requirement under Trade Practices Act to have these facilities available, otherwise organisations that own & run these services are liable to prosecution.

In fact I will ring the Austrlian Telecommuncations Ombudsman today to find out if turbine can be prosecuted and if I have a case to file a law suit for recovery of costs.

This could all be avoided if Turbine weren't so dodgey.

    Yikes! Overreact much?

Dunno what your problem is, but it's very clear on my screen. Hit MyAccount at the top of this forums page. Log into your account. On the first page that comes up in the bottom half it shows "Dungeons and Dragons Subscriptions". In the first section of that area it shows "Subscription Plan" and describes my subscription. Right below that, clear as day...it has a link for "Cancel Subscription".

Now, maybe your screens are completely different. Maybe they are different by nationality. But before threatening lawsuits, you just may want to ask for help, as Im guessing if it's this crystal clear on mine, it's likely not in a super-secret, hidden, diabolically crafted location on yours.

    Sigh...

In the future, rather than necro posting, I would recommend you create a new thread.

There is a button to cancel an active VIP subscription on the Account Management website. If your account is non-VIP, is already pending cancellation, or if you use Game Cards for VIP payments, the button won't be there (since you're already not going to bill on a reoccurring basis).

Please note that if you are "pending cancellation" that means that your account will downgrade to Premium on the next billing date. This status lets you know that it won't bill again, but does allow you to play out the remaining VIP time you've already paid for.

If you can't find this option on your account (and do please be sure you're logging into the Account Management website with the username and password you use for the game) then please contact the Account Management department and they will be happy to assist you with either a cancellation, or confirming that the account is already canceled. I do encourage you to contact us first, as we are happy to assist.

    I had the same problem.

This is how I solved it:
Don't use Explorer to activate Accounts page use Firefox

The cancel option does not always appear. I had to do it through Firefox rather than Explorer.

It does seem like a scam when you can't cancel your subscription.

The accounts system Turbine uses is messed up. I couldn't use my credit card through them until they hooked up with pay pal. (Seemed to me like a scam to get people to by turbine points, which funny enough would accept a credit card)

LOL subscribed for a month unlocked all the favor unlocks, got a heap of turbine points and bought the essential adventure packs, all for $9.99. I WIN!

This thread is very old, so I am going to lock it up.

If you do not see the option to cancel you VIP subscription, contact Account Support via the information in my signature. They will be happy to help with canceling it.
