great DPI (2900), I tend to palm my mice so this one fits perfectly into my hand. I can play hours on end with no fatigue, 2 programmable left thumb keys, back lit (which can be turned off if not wanted)

and I use their Lycosa keyboard

great feel on the keys, smooth and again backlit, you can also turn the back light off if you choose too.
looks kind of like my keyboard and a slighly lower model of my mouse which has 4 more buttons 2 on the right and two just below the wheel, no good at posting images but I love razer's stuff

my mouse is the razer lachesis

I use the headset too. The mouse is awesome, keyboard is ok (looks cooler than a regular keyboard but thats about it), the Razer headset seems to get its drivers dropped from the game while I play no matter how I set it up. Annoying. The mouse is amazing though.

There is no place in the software to change these buttons. Ideally these buttons should have been able to map to any key combination.
Good news then from Razers website: "UPDATE: 6th Jan 2010 - The Razer Naga now allows for full button remapping". Info on the update http://cult.razerzone.com/2010/01/06...pping-is-a-go/

    razor lachesis

    Why?

Cuz it isn't friggin' RIGHT HANDED!! The ONLY gaming mouse I could find on this island that wasn't set up for right handers.

I hate companies that think everyone is right handed.

Why only use buttons? VR Commander works great for certain type of commands. Inventory, Map, Quest, Heal 1, Heal 2 etc... Muckbane, Ghost Touch... yada yada. Goggle's it.

You actually use that for DDO? How hard is it.

I use a gamepad as well. Once you get used to it (and have it properly keyed) it's even more intuitive than a keyboard IMO.
And with a program such as xpadder, the keymap options become quite versatile.

its was hard at first, but once you get used to it, you can use your Xbox/PS3/Other console skills to improve your ddo skills

I've wanted that mouse for ages. As for keyboards, I'm currently using the old model g15 keyboard with the 18 "G" keys on the left. I want to get rid of it now to get one of those.

    Background
My previous mouse was a logitec g5. I am a huge believer in mouse button use and used all of the buttons on my g5. They say it takes about a week or two to get use to this mouse and i have not started taking full advantage of the 12 thumb buttons.

    Pros
Great movement. So far no tracking issues at all.

Very comfortable. My hand sits very well on the mouse. The left and right buttons cup your fingers and there is a nice spot for your third finger to rest on.

I haven't gotten to use the 12 thumb buttons much yet but at first blush it is pretty easy to tell where your thumb is on the pad. The only thing that might inhibit the usefulness is that I have to use the tip of my thumb to press the buttons so it will take an extra .5-1 second to move my thumb into position to press.

    Cons
None of the buttons can be reprogrammed. The 1-12 buttons are either 1-10-= keys or number pad 1-0-=. The two side buttons by the left mouse button are forward and back. There is no place in the software to change these buttons. Ideally these buttons should have been able to map to any key combination.

    Possible Con
Small buttons for the thumb. I think I would have rather just had 1-9 with bigger buttons but I don't have enough time on the mouse to make that decision yet.

I also use a ideazon/steelseries fang. It is by far the best game-pad I have ever used. It doesn't look as cool as some of the newer pads but the button placement and software are far superior to any other pad out there. You can macro any key, download and import other peoples setups, color code, label, and print out your setup, drop or copy/paste keys to move them around instead of reprogramming.

Actually they just updated the drivers so you can program the buttons now! check it out -
