A high dexterity, lower strength character who takes weapon finesse isn't going to want to be using a Kopesh. Weapon finesse does nothing for weapons +str damage.

The weapon finesse character uses the higher to-hit roll to land special effects and uses the wider crit range weapons to apply special effects that proc on crit. Rapiers have a good crit range of 18-20 and 15-20 with Feat or Keen attribute.

I have a lower level rogue for example who will have to-hits in the 20's but can have damage of 1d6+1 lol with Rapiers in the main hand and 1d6+1 with shortswords in the off hand. The 1d8 die roll of the kopesh is of little advantage.

The use of light weapons for weapon finesse characters helps them deal with the DR many mobs have to piercing weapons and for two weapon fighting.
