hey all, if u dont know me sorry but if u do ill miss ya'll

i recently found out im deploying on the 14th of november to join my unit whos in basarah, iraq. ill be gone for about over a year i should be back to play again next december. just wanted to say good bye to all and to those i dont know have fun guys. i play on sarlona as a monk lvl 9 blackiechan, and as a lvl 8 ranger/1 rog frezul. its been great ive been around since this game opened, but ive had some fall outs due to the army but over all i love this game but uncle sam has called my number and its time to go. ill be back to play, pray for a safe return, and ill be thinking about u guys while over seas

SHAME on you. You know OPSEC dictates that you should NEVER discuss details like this on an open forum. It's only possibly setting him and some members from is unit up for unneeded grief and worse case possible attack. Send 'em a private message for that--if he tells you. I wouldn't just for safety reasons since I'd not ever met you.

OPSEC is enforced upon the unit deploying to --area--. You can freely and safely admit what reserve unit you're part of particularly since said reserve unit is not the unit deploying since he had 11 days notice and there are no reserve units on rapid deployment status. He/She is being attached to another unit that is deploying but drills with a reserve unit in Columbus. It's a common thing. In fact, it's how I was deployed when in the reserves.

That said, I can google the units in Columbus and guess which unit he/she is part of. Again, not a violation of OPSEC nor is it sensitive in any regard.

The fact that a person or persons is deploying is easily googleable via various news agencies. You can google the sendoff events and actually find out what AREA they will be sent to.

I am a 6year vet, 2 yr reserve that held TS clearance, and know enough not to violate operational security procedures. Thanks and have a great evening.
