Product Key Invalid

Hi, I´m from Spain and the last week I bought, from the UK, a D&D Online Box. When i tried to enter the code on my account page, it said that is invalid. What´s wrong? It´s because it´s an european game? Anyways, in the box can be readed "Turbine", so I supposed that the EU and the USA versions were the same. In addition, the box don´t say anything that the product key will be only valid for EU servers. I lost my money? I hope that the product can be changed for another valid.
