Any hints on how you did it? Does it involve standing on switches and going afk for 5mins while firewall does your dirty work?

I would guess dominates since there's 1 misadventure. Keep them charmed while you run up through the quest. displace/haste/heal yourself along the way.

Mass charm would probably work better as more enemies have to make a save when you throw it from a distance, making them fight each other.

Misadventure can also mean traps.
