Nahh OP... I was only messin with ya...
Vituoso would be a great path, the problem imo is in the execution.
They need to shorten the length of the songs and buffs. Spellsingers could benefit from this too.
How many times do we not buff our party fully because we know FULL WELL few would actually wait for each and every buff? There needs to be a faster way to implement bard buffs and songs.
The benefit of quickened songs/buffs just might make your average party wait for them.

For the buffs, the long song is fine, for CC songs, it should go off as quickly as a spell. Perhaps to balance it out though, they should leave the animation going for that long duration so that the bard cannot perform any other actions.
As far as groups, there are always 1 or 2 smart ones...the DPS melee junkies will always be around for the buffs. Mages and sometimes clerics...I dont think they think it matters all that much and are unaware of the damage reduction buff from warchanters. But for me, they usually end up getting the buffs anyways as I find it a better strategy to keep mobs off the casters so they can do their jobs so I am hanging around them most of the time.
I am also a VoS. I actually love it so far - only 8th. Play with a couple of friends mostly static through the week and do not have too many problems once we figured out what each of us bring to the table.
In other groups most peeps I have been with seem to be very experienced with quests and zip right though them. In these cases it is all i can do to buff and heal.
All i know, was that if sh*t hit the fan when I was lvling up, I knew I could handle anything, being a virt. And that was very appealing to me, so I'm staying. it will only get better, and im glad that I was able to help my party.
Now doing raids, I can take all the trash, as long as the boss is kept busy for a quick second and rebuff the **** outta everyone, cause I have that endurance.
The basis of my healing comes from scrolls, and buffs from songs. UMD is high enough as a bard and my mana is saved from buffing and mass healing only (usually) so I always have reserves.
Virts been good to me, there is nothing i couldnt handle (undead, golems, mobs) to make my adventures easy. I got plenty to go around, especially lvling up. Then for the boss, we could dump the rest of our gass we had leftin resources and everything always went smooth, because I made the quest that much easier on resources.

Q&A is the business of pointing out others' failures. Optimists need not apply.
Yup, bingo. Don't let anyone tell you a bard that isnt a warchanter is gimp or unplayable.
Warchanters are usually too busy fighting to help the party elsewhere. It takes a VERY competent Warchanter that can look at the whole picture. THOSE Warchanters are very very good. But the majority, Im afraid to say, focus too much on DPS.
If you play your Virt to the MAX, you will run circles around most warchanters.

also song suggestion bypasses spell resistance
people who run off are new to the game, forgetful, noobs
most people at mid to high level who have been playing a while know that haste is the last buff cast and is pretty much a must have for all classes ... i also recitation/holy aura/prayer on my cleric when haste is cast. cast all your other buffs before haste to make sure they get everything 90% of the time.
if someone misses a buff... i really couldn't care less unless they are the driving power in your group... then i'd go out of my way to buff them... but even that wouldn't be required much since they're smart enough to stick around for the buffs in the 1st place.
if you're a spellsinger cast spellsong trance 1st.
if you have to buff mid dungeon you pretty much have to say "buffs on me" on voice chat or no1 will stop for them. sometimes others will say regroup for haste... do what ever other buffs you need to before that haste... or if a wiz casts haste then try to sneak in your buffs too. or if you're with a group of zergers just jump into the fray and sing songs while they kill... chances are they wont stop for anything but haste unless they specifically request it

That's what I'm finding. Early levels I was feeling a bit like baggage in groups, doing my little DPS and Inspire, occasionally working some crowd control, but Good Hope and Haste make a world of difference, as does judicious use of Blur and CMW to keep my fellow squishies alive and save the healer's SP. Having the juice to rebuff and haste at the final boss is crucial, and drop those last CMW when the healer's battery is dead. Along the way, I have the songs to crowd control to my heart's content, which also saves SP for everyone else. If a group's at all unbalanced, I'm the guy who can bridge the gap with a wand/scroll or heals or a little cc.
Question: I just got Inspire Greatness, and it's handy for soloing, but I know another class (clerics?) get a similar temp HP buff. Does one cancel out the other? Does the attack bonus stack w/ IC and Good hope? Is this buff worth passing around in quests, or not so much?
