Angry whats up with the anoying ppl??

Today was a busy day in thelanis, had to wait b4 loggin in (im f2p)

I grp twice today, and for the most part we had a really good time, and worked pretty good together with both groups.
But, as allways, ppl have to go at some point or another, so some spots become available as time goes bye, and u ussually want to fill the role asap.
What to do when the newcomer is a p#./k? ppl started sending me tells telling me how much a p#./k this newcomer was, but i never removed someone from a grp, so we waited out, till he droped. NExt to come, another p#./k...Come on! this time, we were a little more anoyyed, but stayed with it, and with patience, he left, and we had a new spot open. (shall i post an LFM that says "p#./ks not allowed?".)
the next one was quite a nice guy and we had a good time till we disbanded.

2nd group was with ppl i've already grped b4, and the same happened. a newcomer comes, and starts bugging me (a sorcerer) for not having high hp, and telling me how to play my sorceror, which im not gonna say im the most skilled player, but im a fairly good nooker and cc, and starting to get some nice buffs.
this time, i talk back, cause I simply cant take it anymore, and the guy leaves. Good ridance every1 says.
Another two spots open and Idiots come, 1 that says "fail" at me for not having blur, a party member says "just look at the kill list and shut up" and the guy gets worked up, and the 2nd one healed himself 4 times (even though he was at 3/4 hp, with no aggro in a single monster fight) while I, the SORCERER was taking dmg from said monster, obviously i died. Then the first one grabs the SS and runs the opposite way from srhine, and gets killed.
    We disbanded inmeadiatly after that.
Whats up ppl??? I would never presume of telling ppl how to play. You can know ALL the ins and outs of the game but that doesnt mean u are entitled to being @$$holes. If you think something needs improving, constructive critisism is allways welcome. But theres no room for rudeness.

Do not let it get to you, I understand that sometimes we all tend to want everyone to like us, and we might feel upset when someone points us out for being sucky and how you should do this and that.

My advice is: just ignore them, you are here to have fun after a hard day at work / school, you probably have enough stress as it is at work / school, so why let people like them ruin it for you?

I am a cleric, and when nasty people starts beggering me for heals / talk rubbish I will say this to them: Healing is a privellege, not an entitlement!

Sooner or later the wheat will separate from the chaff, you have to develop thick skin and not take anything personal from players in game. The good thing is the majority of people are decent and the idiots, well their reputation will start to precede them soon.

Make notes in your friends list about who you like to party with and who you do not

I'm sure you have paid it a visit already, but for build advice if required the class forums are excellent data base of knowledge .

Make sure if you are going to use derogatory words on the forums, you just type them out and let them be edited automatically. Using symbols counts as circumventing the swear filter...and I only warn you of this because I have infraction points for doing it too much >.>

Get yourself in a guild with like minded players and you will seldomly have to pug again. Problem solved.

    Meh.

Arseholes exist. they serve the same purpose in society that they serve in biology. They let the shyte out. Things could get ugly if they stopped working.

Philosophy aside, take note of names and press on with expanded knowledge of who not to group with in the future. As a piece of adivce, if you ever group with them again give them a a chance. Perhaps they were having a bad day that day. It has happened.

As far as bytching about your build, if you are happy with your character ignore it. There are a lot of opinions about toons out there. However, advice, whether given generously or wrapped in ass juice should always be considered, if only for the possible benefit for your toon. So when people say stuff about your build, good or bad, look into find out what they are talking about and decide for yourself if you act on it or not. I know it sounds weird, and you say to me why would I listen to what an ****** has to say. Well, there are reasons, others:

    1. may be too polite
    2. don't know
    3. compensate automatically and say nothing
    4. don't care

One of the best pieces of advice I ever got for my sorc came from an ass. Don't get me wrong, I didn't go back and thank him or anything. He WAS an ass. But I did learn something.

Default all part of the game

F2P has attracted many new players.

Stril, as will be pointed out, even the VIPpers have their moments.

Saturday I joined a lovely group for ELITE. No one knew the quest except for me. I would type in instructions and use voice during intense moments. This was a F2P quest.

The leader typed in that everyone should have voice on so they could hear me.

Well, one player did have voice on but he also had sound effects on. I would mention floor traps, he would set them off. I would mention trapped lever, he would touch it, setting off traps.

Glad I got the favor. I learned a couple players that I will not group with again.

I whine about this stuff but I keep on playing.

And it will happen again as soon as the servers come up.

I survived the scary events in 2009, 2010, and 2011. 2011 did not reward those that played by the rules.

    Thumbs up

I, of course, pay due atention to insults.
I've had my life saved a bunch of times thx to a wiz or sor who blurred me. The spell is great and all, but I decided to go with what makes the game fun for me. I wanted a pure nuker build, and somewhere along the way came E.resist, haste and jump. Im not getting any more utitlity spells until my second 4th lvl spell. I deviated form my intentions of pure nuking cause I can manage with 1 AoE and 1 target spell for each lvl, variating the elemental output so I have enough arsenal for almost anything. I, and most of the ppl I group with, are ussually (not allways) happy with the build and the way it is played. I do, regretably, relly a lot for now on clerics, cause my UMD is not high enough...though in a few lvls thats not gonna be the case any longer.
Anyway, regarding grouping, I have a fairly large Friends list by now, but for grouping I like just checking the LFMs. Meeting new ppl is one of the perks of all MMO's, and I've got to meet really cool ppl in the short time i've been playing, so I guess I'll just have to learn to live with the minority of arses that keep the balance in the force. At least In ddo the jerks are minority, a luxury we dont get in every day life.
thanks all for your advice, and have a good one!
