My Characters are gone!!

Ever since this patch my characters wont load. I'm kind of new here and if there's something I'm doing wrong possibly please tell me!

Ok first thing to check, are you going back to the same server you were on before? Like perhaps you created characters on Sarlona and now the first choice on the server list is Cannith and that is where you are going instead? Is the little auto load server box checked off on the login screen? That might be taking you to someplace you never created a character on, but actually visited or began to create a character for.

Those would be simple solutions and explanations for it seeming like your characters were gone.
