    Default "Restart the client" message

    Ok sorry in advance if this is a completely dumb question but I cant seem to fix this: I downloaded and installed the most recent update today. I use the high resolution game version. Whenever I start the client from Windows and I get to the character selection screen I am told to restart the client in order to enable high resolution settings. When I do this I get the same message again. Same thing happens if I ignore that message and just launch the game >> message: "restart client" comes up but restarting doesnt help.
    I would be thankful for some suggestions to fix this or am I doing something completely wrong?

    I have been looking for a solution to this "problem" since DDO went free to play months ago, nobody seems to even be able to tell me to ignore it!!

    I wouldn't even mind if I could manually download a patch to "fix" it, assuming it's even broken.

    There's a chance that it's up to date and the error is just the game telling you it's not.
