    Default Elven shadow monster?

was thinking of an elf variation of the monster using the displacement dragonmarks. I got two versions planned - a dex/finesse version with rapiers, and a str based version with scimitars. Not sure which I prefer, but am leaning dex atm. Already having a stockpile of rapiers doesn't hurt either. Same starting stats, but the str based version puts all level ups in str. It would end up with +3 damage, -3AC and -3 reflex save vs the finesse version. Probably would take otwf in place of finesse if I went str route. The dex based version can get useful end game AC with minimal grinding. If I really want to focus on AC I can start with 14str and 18dex. All in all it's about a 5-10% drop in dps for a gain of 3 or 4 AC. which way to go? I'm positive the end-game whack-a-brick-wall-type-mob-boss-with-auto-attack players will say 'go for strength', but without a good way to self heal I'd prefer a good defense as well. It's not like he'll have gimp dps if I go for dex. Has anyone figured out the to-hit of trash mobs, and bosses in current high end content?

And before anyone says "just get shroud clickies for displacement" I'll say NO, I don't want to grind vale quests just for some clickies. I can barely tolerate grinding out the main items/weapons I need. Plus, I already got my paladin if I really want to play a clickiefest. And no, I don't want to make a halfling either
