dndclient has stopped working

I downloaded DDO with no problems a few days ago, and played it with no problems until today (although I had to switch to DX9; DX10 seemed to make it lag more, though it could have been my imagination). I was playing today, though, and after about an hour with no problems, it abruptly closed, and Vista gave me a message saying that dndclient had stopped working. It recommended that I check for updates and install them, so I did, but I've been unable to launch the game since then. I can get logged in and connected, but as soon as it tries to actually launch, it crashes and gives me the same message.

Something I just thought of.... A few minutes before it initially crashed, I noticed that the full download progress bar at the top was in the upper 90s. It seems like it crashed as soon as the full download was complete, although I don't know why it would.

Think i got the same issue here.

I can play fine for a while, but the game seems to randomly shutdown without any prior warning.
So far it's only happened during quests.

Tried this on 2 different computers, one with xp, one with vista. Same thing on both of them.

Exactly the same for me as well, I was able to log in this morning and play fine, but haven't been able to since. As soon as I reach the intro page where the turbine logo is after connecting to the server the game crashes. I thought maybe it had to do with the incomplete download, but some of the replies above seem to indicate it's more than that.

Yes! As far as I can tell, I fixed it by completely uninstalling the game and the Turbine Download Manager, then reinstalling the full game without the TDM. No problems so far.
