Default "You do not have the current version" error

I have tried to launch using the download manager, but it does not update. I have also tried launching it from the Turbine folder, with the same error. How am I supposed to update the client if the updater doesn't work?
Thanks for the help, I've tried searching for the answer on the forums with no luck.

I have the exact same problem. I log into the game and when the first loading screen appears I get that error. I tried to "repair and validate" through turbine client, but that option doesn't seem to work.

    Im getting the same issue.
Tried restarting compy, the turbine download manager says its up to date, and pressing the "validate & repair" button does absolutely nothing. No scan, and no fix.

Tried that too. It doesn't do anything. Goes blank and doesn't run anything.

Unfortunately the only fixes available for this problem have to be done on your computers. Here are the solutions:

For Turbine Download Manager (TDM) users:
Try fully uninstalling TDM, and then reinstalling it from this page. This will not remove your DDO client.

If that does not work, we recommend a full uninstall of the DDO client, which can be done from the TDM window. You can then reinstall using whichever method you'd like from this page.

    For non-TDM users:
Check your DDO folder for a file called tdmcomserver.dll. If you have it, delete it, and try to open DDO again. This file can prevent the game from patching if you are not using TDM.

If that does not work, we recommend a full uninstall of the DDO client. You can then reinstall using whichever method you'd like from this page.

Hey Tarrant thanks for the quick reply. That seems to be working for me. Much appreciated.

lol looks like it's gonna take an hour or two to validate. Guess I'll watch a movie.

I uninstalled my Turbine Download Manager via the "Uninstall Programs" program in control panel, but now it is downloading the entire DDO game...
    So..
    Thats fun.

    This seems like a bug.
At first I was like "Eh, maybe I uninstalled the wrong thing, fine, ill redownload it.."
But my DDO folder is 6 gigs, and its redownloading the entire thing.

I wonder where the deuce its downloading those files to?
