    Cool Crash No More!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All you have to do is hit esc at the movie( right after you type in your info) and it will skip it and take you in the game. Now, if someone will help me see armor on my character. It is equipped, i have checked the numbers, but I can not see it. I am tried of saving the world in my tan PJ's. I was working fine and then it just stopped. about the time of the crash. Any help would be helpful. Thanks and happy hunting.

You should be able to modify your userpreferences.ini file to disable the opening movie. There's an entry ShowIntroMovie=True which you should be able to change to False. YMMV, but that should make it so you don't have to press ESC every time.

What happens if you try on different armor / robes / whatever? It's possible that, when it crashed, it corrupted the graphics / data files (ok, granted, corrupting just the armor graphics is a little odd). If you're running TDM, you could try a validate and repair and see if that helps. Again, YMMV. Or, you might wait until Wednesday and see if the update fixes anything.
It occurs to me that the dice are being rolled by the same computer that's trying to kill me. It knows all the moves - it's just toying with me.

    Cool thanks for the info

I can't seem to find that repair button. And where do I go to change the true to false? Thanks again
Can't wait for Wednesday. I am now using new guy, and everything is working good. back on the old guy, i equip him with all kinds of different armor, but nothing shows up. Other players tell me they see armor, but all i see are tan PJ's.

I knew I was playing the wrong MMO! I wondered why everything was so pink.

The userpreferences.ini file is located in the Documents > Dungeon and Dragons Online folder (if you're using XP, it'll probably be My Documents > Dungeons and Dragons Online).

What you need to do is to open the userpreferences.ini file using a text editor (i.e. Notepad) and scroll down until you find the line ShowIntroMovie=True and then change the True to False so that the line looks like ShowIntroMovie=False and you should be good to go. Save the file and restart the game.

The Validate and Repair option is only if you have the Turbine Download Manager. It's somewhere in there. I can't be more specific because I don't use TDM.

It's odd that it wouldn't show any armor graphics at all. I'd thought for a moment that there was a /showarmor command but, no, that's only for helmets. It still sounds like a corrupt graphics file somewhere. It would seem that if it were on the server side, nobody else would see your armor either.
