gates viewable from afar disappear when approached

When I am in certain dungeons that have a gate that drops the gate is not visable. I also noticed that on the kothos island first dungeon with the spiders and undead. The part where you open the chest where the trap is.. when standing in a certain area the screen goes black.. like a graphical error. But my wife's laptop which is the exact same as me doesnt have this problem.

Anyone have this problem where doors disappear? Is there a fix?

Update your drivers perhaps? Had the same problem on my lappy but it was resolved along with some clipping when I updated my drivers. Perhaps your partners comp is updated more recently and yours is not?

We both have the same sony vaio laptop and the drivers the same. heh.. but i enabled dx10 in the game and it solved the problem.. its a strange fluk

Well I auto detected in game set it to dx10 enabled restarted game.. it worked.. disabled dx10 and then restarted and i can see the objects and no graphic glitches.. so fixed i guess
