    Default VIP = All Classes/Races

Hey. I just bought VIP today. And guess what??? You lied. The VIP page specifically says... under races..... ALL FREE... and under classes.... ALL FREE.... Be more specific.. like all free IF you play the game for 2 years and get the favor... I have warforged and monk.. Big whoop. I am paying 15$ why would I get ripped off ??

long before the f2p/vip situation, we had to unlock the favor race. Its not really onerous to get the 400 for drow, though the 2500 for favored soul is more than most can pull off.

its true though; being a vip lets you access everything for free .. that doesn't mean you don't have to work at it a little, though

The VIP page specifically says... "Select races and classes may still require the use of game mechanics to unlock for free"

Next mod you can [unfortunately] buy it in the store. Otherwise it's 1750 favor. 1750 favor also gives you a bound to character +2 tome of your choice.

Once you unlock 32pt, every character you make (save for drow) is 32pts.

play your toosh off and earn 1750 favor or wait a week for update 1 and just buy it in the turbine store.

"* Select races and classes may still require the use of game mechanics to unlock for free"

That is absolutely ridiculous. This is true for EVERYONE; if you earn the points you get the classes and races. Or you can buy them. "Game mechanics" is not the same as hundreds of hours of my life. And the little asterisk should say which classes and races are still excluded and what is required to unlock them.

What a complete load of BS. DDO VIP is stupid and a rip-off. For $15 a month I want the classes and races. It will take months at 500 points per month to get them all for "free." I bought it for the classes and races. They should state clearly that one still needs to play their life away to get them for "free" with their VIP membership.

HEY DDO! Get it together. Right now, you suck.

Vip is not intended to ever give you enough points to stop paying and play for free. If you want permanent access to anything, you have to purchase it in the store, as soon as you are no longer a vip, you lose access to everything you have not purchased from the store.

500 points per month without including any content updates would take 40 months (3 and 1/3rd years, oddly shorter then the game has currently been out) to purchase all content after dropping your sub. If you want full access and to be able to play for "free" you need to drop about $200 into the game (assuming you already unlocked drow and FvS on the server you will be playing on). Note that 40 months sub would be $478 with the most efficient plan currently offered.

Oh, and if you think vip sucks, don't be a vip.

While true, its pretty much the definition of deceptive advertising. They really should clean that up, VIP is a good deal without being underhanded

Does that mean that as soon as you get Drow and FvS you are gonna quit playing or do you plan on playing indefinitely? Is there a limit on the number of hours you will be playing this game?
