Ok I can't take this anymore

maybe its my connection i don't know but almost every week i encounter a new connection problem that makes me unable to play the game.

First it was a random disconnect, then no connection for a few hours... Got used to it, happened a lot, now it happens less.

then small random problems. server is full, unable to join world queue, quits after 20 logins... stuff like that. moved on.

NOW while playing the game freezes between loading screens, I'm forced to quit the game (by using end task), when I try to come back I get stuck before character selection, on that angel screen. shows 0.04 kb/s, then 0.00 kb/s, then a few minutes later tells me the connection has been lost
I added DDO to the excluded list on my firewall, opened ports 80, 2900-2913, 9000-9013. WHAT CAN I DO ?

I'm having a similar issue. It has happened every day at this time (7pm +9.5 GMT) for the past 3 days. The server seems to have a hiccup for half an hour or so and I can't log in or do anything.

It is getting annoying as this is my peak time.

And again, same time of the day. This time i was logged in on a character and unable to sell, access mail/bank.

This happens at exactly the same time every day so there must be something going on.

4:40 am EST here, just did the same thing to both my wife and I. Went to enter a quest, locked up, had to end program, then stuck on loading screen with the message:

Cleaning up old connection...

I'm guessing some sort of nightly server maintenance timed for off-peak for US players but right in the middle of peak time for Australians.

Same here, this has happened to me only a few times ever, but I got it right now as well.

I couldn't open the bank but I could open the auction.
Logging out did not log me out, but rather stuck me to the ground. I could still use wands and interact with inventory but could no longer move.

I rebooted and now I'm stuck on Clearing up old connection...

edit - I let it sit and it eventually logged me in. Everything seems fine now?

edit2 - nope - 'your character is still being saved'.

Whatever the problem is it is server wide judging by the discussion going on in general and advice at the moment.

GAHHHH connection issues to DDO are daily and increasingly worse are mod 9 came in... How are you suppose to release a new part to the game in 4 days when you havent even Fixed your last broken update! it took over a year for mod 9 and its not at 100% and yet they think they can release another one soo soon? stop worrying about pleasing everyone and make your game run smoothly first

And again, exactly the same issues 5 nights in a row and exactly the same time, right in the middle of peak time. Sigh... I guess another 20-30mins wait before I can do anything.

You know what... I thought I could stay a VIP for a few months... Now I see that I can't play 20% of the time at all and 40% can't play properly... Doesn't look like its worth it now.
This is clearly not a problem on our side as many people complain lately about connection problems in ddo and there isn't even a response from the DDO Staff.

I have the same issue, Khyber Server + in few last mornings in row (ECT) my latency goes wild (which makes this game unable to play).

ok, i've just had another "loading screen of death" after about an hour of 5% packet loss
will you do anything to fix it? or should I already "get used" to the problem?

GOOD NEWS: after about 2 hours of trying to reach the character selection, I made it!
BAD NEWS: the loading screen between the character selection and the world itself was a "loading screen of death" aka - disconnect and can't log at all. AGAIN.
