As annoying as noobs can be, I played for about a month of f2p and wouldn't have started taking this game seriously if there weren't vets who took me through quests and helped me figure out what would be good for my sorc. Now I'm p2p and helping enthusiastic and non-******** noobs get through butcher's path and all that other stuff.

Wow what is up with all the angry posts at him, its his right to try to enjoy the game he wishes to. Its not just about free to play bashing the quality of pugs have always been hit or miss. But if a persons time is limited and they just want to get things done is it so wrong not to want to have to carry others all the darn time?

When I was new I received help and I appreciated it. Ive tried to give the same but its a different game then even 2 years ago. In the general chat people will argue cuss and act like complete morons its enough to not want to look at it. You give solid advice only to have some jack hole argue with you till others confirm it then they spout some expletive and log out.

Its not the same ball game and yes I do believe a lot of it got worst with the changes to general chat and the population growth. And while yes I have met and ran with some great new players ive also run into some really foul mouth idiots who I will try hard not to group with again. So to all of you telling Rrend hes foolish for wanting to enjoy the game I hope you really are all out there helping new players even the idiots and thank you for being the Mother Teresa's of the game.

its real simple, if ya dont wanna group with "noobs". show what skills you got to an officer, and join a large guild. then, pugging wont be necessary. i play on sarlona, and there are about 5 or 6 very large guilds-excluding the chinese ones. then you can solo the lower levels, and have a few guildies help through the higher level stuff. easy peasy. i havent been forced to pug much, except raids, and people generally know whos who on a server. so, all in all, go join a guild. it will save you alot of frustration in the end.

Soloing becomes more difficult and costly at levels 8-16 effectively.

On average I'd say that my PUG experience in this level range has been less than 30% positive. A Xorian hard run with 10-12's last night alone cost me 10 RD scrolls, 25 heal scrolls, countless pots, and I can honestly say that only one other player in the party was worth grouping with again. I was just grateful to get the completion.

So, as a solution, if you are interested in grouping with veteran players to run quests in the range from 8 to 14 on hard/elite in order to max XP and Favor, please post your toons using the following format. Level range should be 8 to 16. I will update this list daily and sort the list by level and class for ease of lookup. Anyone on this list should use it to contact others in game by putting VETERANS ONLY in an LFM or sending a tell to anyone on this list that says "vets only group forming, you interested?"

I will put any toons on this list in my friends list so that I can track their level progression and monitor who is on-line. Should help increase the percentage of players in my pugs that don't suck. I'm open for suggestions to improve this process as well. Let me know.
