yet another request for auction house search

a lack of full text search is inexcusable

additional features needed:

1. price filter

I have maybe 250k gold at any given time, please stop showing me items with a min bid of 700k. I don't even want to see them.

2. functional price sort

sorting only the current page by price and making me page through the whole search result list is such lazy programming

3. minimum plus search

fine you don't want full text search for some stupid reason, how about just letting me search by minimum +? I want ogre power bracers of at least +5 str, right now I have to mouse over EACH bracer of 10 pages of bracers to find one that is possibly +5

4. UMD filter

I'm a dwarf, my umd is 0, it is useless to show me elf only items, let me avoid seeing them with a check box

5. affix filter

I'm fighting trolls on ataraxia and need a fire or acid weapon to finish them off, I don't care what kind it is, I just want the cheapest one....how do I do that without spending 4 hours sorting though ALL the weapons?

6. full text search

needs to be repeated



The current auction house looks like it was put in just to say there was an auction house, not because anyone who actually plays the game put any thought into it.

I know there are other threads on this subject but this game is nearly 4 years old and this has been suggested since the beginning. There is 0 reason why search isn't implemented yet. If the programmers are having trouble let me know and I'll help write the SQL and integration code.

I wanted a flaming two-handed weapon. Imagine my surprise to find that I could not do a keyword search/filter for "flaming." I actually had to search through every page of each weapon individually to find one in an acceptable price range.

It was ridiculous and very time consuming.

I will not use the AH again until this functionality is included. I don't care how much money I'm potentially losing in the process.

I can't believe that this game is 3 years old and this functionality was never included.

AND can we have that same filter for the NPCs who sell weapons, armor, etc etc...

Searching on those NPCs drives me nuts!

I thought the following comment was particularly amusing; "the current AH looks like it was thrown together just to say that the game has an AH".

If you know an items ML and you are looking for a specific item it can be pretty easy to use. Royal Guard Mask for instance is ML11 and it's a hat. 'Bout two pages of ML11 hats on the AH. But if you want a medium devil scale? Ha!! Yer screwed.

Have you tried looking for ingredients on the AH OP? If not give it a try, be warned you may never log back into the game again.

It WAS essentially just slapped in there to say "Fine, here's an AH." This game was never intended or envisioned to even have an AH at all. It's not meant to be very good, it was just put in to shut people up a bit, so I don't think any programmers are working on it. I could ramble on, but you get the point. It's just like you said "it was just put in to say there was an auction house."
