I think the idea of wearing boots made of steel sounds painful. The item on the other hand sounds pretty good. If I wasnt bound to Feather Fall on my boots I would offer some money. Dont know if I would pay more than 150K Gp however. It might be worth more to someone else.

I know this is old, but I would also like to know a general value on these? Apparently you can upgrade them later on as well? I have a pair but have yet to see them for sale to get an idea of whether I should sell mine or save them?

They are a nice compliment to many AC based mid level builds. They help nerf a lot of grazing hit damage. Since most of the time you have haste on you anyway, the 15% striding is not a factor. Just have a pair of FF boots to swap, or a Bat or Ring instead and you are good to go. Basically it is like wearing Adamantine Full Plate for the DR3/- effects. To the right person or build, very useful addition.

(My midlevel ~12th now- AC build has a pair and they work nicely...)

I would say higher. Everything we are hearing from Epic is that even specialized stratospheric AC is dead, and anything that helps with damage mitigation, even a little bit, is very strongly desired by everyone. I just don't think the message has filtered down to the masses. Yet.
