Default You have ransacked this chest too often

So, i know you get the dreaded "You have ransacked this chest too often" message after hitting a chest a few times...

How long does it take for it to go away?

    - More importantly - Am i ever going to get a bloodstone?

I believe ransack goes away after seven days.

Bloodstones are very rare drops, so keep trying.

It goes away in about a week.
As for the Bloodstone - have you tried Diplomacy on the chest while wearing the starting Rags outfit from Korthos, standing in the middle of a Grease spell (without falling), and duel-wielding Clubs of the Silver Flame from Delara's that have the Force Critical ritual done on them?

That's really the only reliable way. Never throw out those starter rag outfits...

1 week, but the timer starts from the first pull. you could pull once on friday and then not do anymore til thursday, get your ransack and then be ready to start again on friday.

I like to start my timers when I have little time and then at my leisure over the week ransack them.

I'm sorry - I was remiss to have overlooked that part. I thought that part was just a known fact.

    Default Rare?

I've been playing for 3 years, hit all those desert bloodstone chests at least 100 times, and I've never even seen that darn stone DROP! I think they spontaneously generate in some people's inventory with a little message, "Tell everyone this drops in the desert. If you say where it came from, It will be taken away."

    Seriously...

    Default My strategy

I just run to the desert between quests, when I log in, or just before I log out. It takes 5 minutes to check for both bloodstone chests, then you can forget about it for a while. That's how I got mine.

I'm not sure how rare these are, but when I was actually farming for it it was frustrating. When I turned it into a time killing activity it didn't bother me.

    Also: That's what she said!

Bloodstones are a myth. They exist on the AH and only the AH. Unless you only play casters. Than you can pull them even if fat, drunk and stupid.
