Favored Soul/Sorc

Any chance that this type of character would work? I was thinking of a character that is mostly Favored Soul with a few levels of Sorc for buffing. The character would cast Mage Armor and Shield mostly. 12 Wisdom and 12 Charisma then rest into Str/Dex and then Con - Taking feats like Extend and possible two handed fighting? Not sure if this character is feasible or not, so I figured I would post and ask. Thanks Tarrick

No, such a character would be dependent on Turbine adding some new option to support it, such as Mystic Theurge or at least Practiced Spellcaster.

There's no way 1-2 levels of sorc casting can be anywhere close to the value of levels 19-20 of Favored Soul. In fact, probably an FVS20 would be a better character than FVS18/Sorc10 (If the latter were even possible).

The only two-handed fighting FVS race is Warforged, who also get Shield spell at level 20.

Your AC is not likely to matter in the upper levels, so it really don't make sense to splash a couple levels for mage armor and shield. And actually, mage armor doesn't stack with real armor, so just stick with FvS and wear a breastplate or mithral fullplate. In the event you do make your AC work, either play as a warforged with the lord of blades path to get free shield spells at level 20, or else boost your UMD high enough to use wands of shield. Either way, the sorc levels are totally unnecessary and even detrimental to the character's ultimate potential.
