if you know where the traps are, splash or pure, you have a leg up on a rogue without that knowledge.
Don't sweat it, save your time for being the stone cold killer you need to be and if you need to grab a trap or two here and there, go for it, other than that, as was stated earlier, let the splashes get the traps and stroke their own egos :P
Well I have a 2rog 8wiz not even with plus 1 tools and I only have plus five items I can get just as high as a pure rog. I can out do them with my own buffs. Just because your a pure rog doesn't mean your going to be better then a cross class. Most people who have been playing awhile like a few things. They want survive ability, self heal, and be able to solo. With 2rog you get evasion. You also get extra skills you can have sneak attack damage for melée and trap monkey skills can solo most quests

This actualy helps alot. My pure and nearly-pure rogues both quite happily allow multiclass characters to get the traps if that's what they want. If they're willing to make some sacrifices (and keeping trap skills up cross class can very easily be a sacrfiice) in order to get traps, more power to 'em. Calm down by finding something to stab in the kidneys.
Then again, I'm mostly into rogues for stealth and the sneaky-hurty aspects.

... and they insist on doing the traps a then blow a critical one. Really, your 9/1 build is cool, but let the pure rogue handle it.
I also hate
1) the timer for search and disable. Its too long. Scale it down by level?
2) people who think they can jump the elite traps. Great. You guys made it (mostly). And now you're all aggroing everything on the other side, while the clumsy cleric and the squishy caster wait for me to disarm so we can catch up. To your stones. Just brilliant.
I have an acrobat rogue, 2 rangers with rogue splash and a bard with rogue splash. I really don't care who does the traps. If I'm not capped and no one else is, I'll do them. If I'm capped, well *I* have evasion so care little if we're all just running thru.
Focus on total contributions and party synergy and don't sweat the traps.
