Monk Halfing Guile?

Hey everyone, I'm following this awesome build I found (Linked below) but I am highly confused: Why is Halfling Guile there? Can Monk's sneak attack or am I seriously missing something... Any advice would be great!

Everyone can sneak attack... you just don't get the HUGE bonuses to damage Rogues do... Halflings are particularly good at it and get a little bonus damage (if they take the enhancements) when they kick someone in the back of the knee

So if I go into Sneak mode, I'll gain the bonuses from Halfling Guile then?

You don't have to be in sneak mode to get sneak attacks off. All it takes is someone else having agro while you're hitting the critter. Alternately as a Halfling Monk you can use Unbalancing Strike to make them vulnerable to Sneak Attacks whether you have agro or not.

**EDIT** You can also use Diplomacy to shed agro giving you an opening to sneak attack **/EDIT**

Ah I see, so Sneak attack is just attacking them when they aren't ready for it or you don't have aggro. Got it, makes sense. Thanks!

anyone with a item that adds to sneak dmg and someone hits the monster with Unbalancing Strike will get the extra dmg. Just halflings can get a little more bonus from enhancements. otherwise you need to take some rogue skills.
