First I would like to applaud the idea of introducing the +2/-2 when you post an lfm. However, it can still lead to power-leveling and loss of xp to the uncareful clicker. Please, change this to +1/-1 to avoid this in future. Thanks,
Brae.

The change has already made finding groups manageable. Why bother with another change?
Because the current default system allows for power-leveling, which means -50% XP or in some cases ZERO XP!
Let's say I throw up an LFM on my level 10. Anyone 8-12, by default is eligible. However, any level 8 that joins is getting power-leveled by any level 12 that joins.
All I am saying is that the default should not hurt your xp, but under its current implementation does. The system is great, don't get me wrong. But all the numbers were not crunched and the system needs re-visiting to make it right.
Once again! The default system should never cost you -50% xp. Please fix this.
Thanks.

Umm, as I said I am perfectly fine with making my own lfms. This is a suggestion on a currently implented system that needs tweaking. The current adaption allows for power-leveling. Some folks don't even know what that means? (play on Cannith much?) So yes, I am serious. New players don't grasp the nature of it, and the +2/-2 was a band-aid fix to appease the vets from seeing level 1-20 lfms for level 1 quests. So again, great idea - needs tweaking; and that is all I am doing is providing feedback so this game gets better.

Good point, but let me put it to you this way... (and no offense to you personally.)
If someone has not taken the time to learn the basic functions of the game... i.e...how to post/join an lfm... I'm am (personally) tired of tryin to teach them. I have spent many hours on Korthos trying to pass on useful information, (what does what, who does who , this does that, etc...), and if a new player gets a 50% xp hit because he hasn't done his research he will learn.
I am personally sick of the "easy buttons" Turbine has implemented. The ONLY good thing I've seen them do since F2P launched is the standard lvl's on LFM's. So, NO, I do NOT think it should be made easier. The tools are there, they have been adjusted to be more player friendly, and people just need to learn the system.
FYI.. for the first MONTH after the mod, I ran around with gen/advice/trade channels on... This is no longer the case. I tried man, I gave up! So have many others. Sometime the only way to teach/learn is by trial and error. So let them learn the hard way, the system is fine.
And here is the problem. I fully agree with MissErres. There's enough stuff already that does things for people automatically. If people don't know what powerlevelling means it's bloody well time they learn it. And you don't learn stuff if you're constantly treated with silk gloves. Have them learn it and then they can decide whether they want to join despite the -50%.
Plus, if people are aware of things, they can join a PUG 8-12 in which there's no lvl 12, yet, on their lvl 8 and request the level range to be changed to 8-11. If they're not aware they can't.
I think some people are missing the point of the suggestion. It's not that people shouldn't have to learn the system, but that the default setting shouldn't be one that potentially imposes a penalty.
If it's not a big deal to expect people to change the LFM setting from +2/-2 to a non-powerlevel setting today, what's the harm of having them tweak a default +1/-1 to their liking in the future? The only difference here is that the system doesn't default to a penalty setting, which there's no good reason for it to be doing.
Seriously, is there any harm that could possibly come out of implementing this suggestion, aside from the further delaying of druids?
