A Guildie of mine who is new to the game took the exotic weapon feat for Bastard sword. He's a Dwarven paladin. My question is. Is that a mistake for him being a dwarf or is he alright going with bastard swords?

Dwarven paladin will be better off going with dwarven axes (inherent racial abilities with them) or with Khopesh if he really wants to spend the feat.
