Default Suggestion : Additional Class to be added later

My Experience so far of this game has been great, and I find it holds true to many aspects of Dungeons and Dragons, except the lack of Role-playing I see. That said, there is another thing that has been bothering me, I played the Pencil and Paper version of D&D, and I had a level 6 Druid(Not very high, DM moved away.) However, I understand that this game is still developing, and it is a f2p game, which is why I understand why most classes are not in yet, yet I just wanted to suggest this, and I am sorry for spamming if this was already suggested.

Druids work very well with animals, and can try to improve a wild creature's attitude the same way they would improve an NPC with diplomacy. For those who did not play the tabletop game, or others and don't know a druids role, here you go.

People have been asking for druids for years, Turbine has yet to deliver. Their most recent statement on the matter seems to indicate they won't be coming in the near future.

I'd have to go against this suggestion, only because people would try to hard to compare it to the WoW druid.

Instead they should go more original (even thought I know druids were around dnd first). But I would really like to see Psionics rather than druids. The pNp dnd psionic characters were pretty bad ass.

Druid please. Screw psionics--in PnP, psionics was just a sorcerer with spell points, which this game has already.

Instead of Wild Shape druids, I'd like to see some of the variants from Unearthed Arcana which sacrifice their wild shape abilities for enhanced spellcasting.

The nerfing will continue until morale improves!

I'd rather they never ever do druids if they cant do shape shifting and I loathed the Unearthed arcana but as to psionics I can take them or leave them

When I duel someone I like to dual wield. with my rouge wearing rogue.

That is mistaken. DDO is not a new game. Nearly everything you see in it is quite old.

We already have battle FVS and battle clerics. The 2 classes most picked on and most likely to make a party mad that they are not healing. The last thing we need is to add a 3rd class of healer that does not want to heal. And don't kid yourself. It will be just like a druid was when wow started. *** you can't heal in bear get out of that damm bear form... Then you have mad people you are in bear and you are mad they want you to heal and ... Nothing good will come from it. Just alot of fighting. No matter how good bear might be, they will want you to heal instead. Maybe it should not be that way, but it will be.

In the PnP rules there is only meant to be one 20th Level Druid, 2? 19th Level Druid's and so on. If they ever do implement the Druid class I'd like to see them implement this rule so that we can watch Druid's duke it out for the top position :-)

The problem with Druids is that many of their spells like "call lightning" require to be outdoors, this is tricky for a mainly indoors setting that DDO had. Futhermore with the release of favored soul, there is less need for another "healer" arch type.

I think what we will see are new Prestige classes. Turbine stated they wanted 3 per base class, and there are some that only have 1 like Barbarian for example.

There are also prestige classes (that in my opinion) need some work like the Ranger-Archer Prestige classes. I also find Hunter of the dead to be slightly "meh".

Really it's only a handful of specific spells that require you to be outdoors to use them, but the druid does have that as a disadvantage to balance their advantages.

Druids have a fair swath of weather spells,(like call lightning which also requires a cloud) which normally only work outdoors.
(though everyone has seen sleet storm indoors)

The Sun spells are a specific class of druid spells that require outdoors to work at all

The druid staple (and rangers get it also) entangle is supposed to work outdoors. (or more specifically where there is plantlife so they CAN work indoors if their is plants)

Other spells work specifically on earth itself which is like the reverse, which are more useful underground than overground.

It's doubtful these limitations will be 100% blocking in DDO, but they may work at 1/2 power/damage or lesser DC inside.

Thats assuming druids come one day.

Druids are one of the most fantastic soloers you could have. They mix the best parts of being a wizard with the best parts about being a cleric.

    -Resist Energy
    -Protection From Energy
    -Wall of Fire
    -Finger of Death
    -Sleet Storm
    -Freedom of Movement
    -Stoneskin
    -Cometfall
    -Heal
    -Mass Cures
    -Greater Restoration
-They'd probably give Druids Raise Dead, since Reincarnate has another meaning in DDO.

If you have a Stormcaster variant of Druid (from Unearthed Arcana), you lose your animal companion and wild shape abilities but add a ton of lighting spells to your list. In DDO, that would probably include Shocking Grasp, Great Thunderclap, Lighting Bolt, Ball Lighting, and Chain Lighting and a few others (it is 1 spell per spell level). With this variant, you could easily have 3 enhancement lines for a Druid: Fire/Ice, Electric/Sonic, and Healing.

The Stormreaver and Sor'jek already cast Call Lightning and Call Lightning Storm in an indoor environment. Also, players and NPCs alike have been able to Cometfall indoors for years.

Sor'jek also casts Great Thunderclap, a spell still unavailable for players.

Terrible idea. 3.5e says nothing about this, something I am thankful for.
