    Default How does Merchant Works

Anyone can explain to me how does merchant and dicounts works?

These are my thoughts so far:

Haggle make a difference in % when you buy/sell

Having completed some quests gives you a Difference in % when you buy/sell from certain merchants -> I now got a small discount in Hammer & Chain for example, I think this is for completing quests in the harbor.

I saw a Free Agent Vendor in the Harbor, but never was able to get him to trade with me (I guess I need 75 favor with the free agents, which I don't have). In this case, does anyone knows if this guy makes discounts?

Having favor with the coin lords/Kundurak/etc. gives discounts in their stores? This would be a very nice addition to the game.

One additional note: General Vendor always pays the same or charge the same, they don't take into account whatever favor you have with anyone.

Am I right? Any additional thoughts?

Thanks in advance for the help.

You pretty much have it right, reputation and haggle both matter. Also brokers buy for slightly more. Here's the breakdown: http://ddowiki.com/page/Haggle
