Can you tell us about weapons.
Specifically does blunt help on undead or does it matter since they are epic?
Does Mineral II help on anything in there?
Got alot of mats sitting here and trying to decide what to make for epic content.
Will min IIs get it?
Radiance IIs?
Blunt triple pos?
What do you reccomend having played in the quest?
Check out my post on the wiz king thread for some answers..
Pretty much everything works as expected. DRs are massively increased, but still bypassable by correct weaponry.
Min2 is very important as the mobs have mega CR, so you need a very high hardness weapon to not break it fast. Also amost no mobs in wiz king have any acid resistance.
I used a min2 maul.
Skeleton DR - About 30/Blunt
Clay Golem - About 40/Blunt + Adamantine (min2 blunt wep ftw)
Mummy - DR20/- , very hard to dps.. But double fire dmg
Radiance - mm I didn't have one, you may be able to blind gnolls, i dont know. I imagine it works great as they mention no blindness immunity.
Blunt triple pos will be great for skeletons. However immunity to death effects = immunity to greater disruption too.
The mummies are very tough so making a weapon for them could be a good idea. On live I have a triple fire greataxe, the incineration proc is quite decent on ice giants who take 150%, mummies which take 200%, it should kick ass vs. Also don't need blunt vs mummies as there DR/- anyways.
Tried stat dmg weapons too, didn't work well. Weakning/wounding doesnt work, enfeebling/puncturing does, but gota crit.. I only crit on a 19+ with my greataxe so wasnt effective. (think there stats are all very high anyways)
Basicly if u wanna help on wiz king.. Max dps melee with either min2 maul, or dual min2 warhammers would be most effective.
Ideal group:
3 max dps, max gear, epic melee
halfling lvl20 warchanter with heroes companion for more dps buff (its only 5 uses per rest, but wiz king has 4 shrines in it so it rocks)
Top notch tough healer - cleric or favored soul with max scroll mastery and max healing abilities.. And enough hitpoints to handle 300+ DBF/chain lightnings in the face.
WF sorc with max wall of fire dmg, web, ottos iressitable dance, quickened reconstruct, halt undead maybe (not sure it works but if it does, that would be ideal),.
I'm thinking warforged because of the endfight,, Hex Wraiths are insane and very hard to melee due to there phasing in and out so fast (also i didnt have spectral glove so yea i couldnt hurt them much heh).. But wall of fire cooks em fast as HP are bit lower then other mobs.. And they do soul drain curse, but a WF could just reconstruct himself as its a healing curse that repair should ignore.
Just to add to Shade's comments:
You can indeed blind things, and blindness is a very helpful debuff as it negates DEX bonus to AC, bestows an extra -2 AC penalty, halves movement speed, and causes any hit the creature makes to be as-if hitting something with total concealment (50% concealment). I used sunburst in a few spots on the living things and when I could stick it, it was nice to have.Originally Posted by Shade
I was getting things with CON scores around 26. But when only 5-10% of the stat damage effects get through, it starts to become a lost cause.Originally Posted by Shade
